Nene Atsure Benta III, Manklalo-caretaker of the Prampram Paramount stool has been sent to meet her ancestors. The body of the late chief was laid on Saturday at Prampram sports stadium. Chiefs, traditionalist’s, community folks and the Clergy across Greater Accra Region and beyond have joined Obonuwe and Klewe Royal families to mourn the late Manklalo, Nene Atsure Benta III.

The chief was murdered by unknown gunmen on the 13th of December 2018 when he was returning from a meeting at Dodowa house of chiefs. What prompted the gunmen for their action is unclear but community members suspected a chieftaincy dispute over the Prampram stool. Few weeks before the shooting, a section of the royal authority threatened to put the mandate of the late chief to a halt.
